Applause Machine

This "Applause Machine" was designed by English artist Martin Smith. And a most cheerful device it is too. But there's more: together with industrial designer Nick Regan, Martin set up the company "Laikingland", with the aim of designing a playful collection of kinetic objects and having these produced to a high standard of craftsmanship. They also invited other designers to join in.
We consider this "applause machine" to be a promising, positive start that rouses our curiosity about the next piece. In this respect then, too, we wish Martin and Nick every success!
