Louis te Poele (1984) graduated from the Fashion and Liberal Arts course at the Academie Arnhem (Artez) in 2008, and subsequently took up photography. She has made a remarkable start in her new discipline, and we would like to share this with you. We are therefore exhibiting a series of photos of striking faces. Louise is fascinated by what makes an individual eccentric. From this starting point, she chooses her models carefully and makes them theatrical. The techniques she uses to achieve this refer to painting. During the process, she makes sketches that help her determine the final image for the photo. To illustrate this, we are also showing a number of sketches by Louise.
